    Leavenworth National Fish Hatchery
    There are three fish hatcheries in the area, all of them built between 1940 and 1942 to bolster the slamon population after the construction of the Grand Coulee Dam. The three hatcheries are known collectively as the Leavenworth Complex; one in Leavenworth, one in Entiat and one in Winthrop.
